Detailed Walkthrough

The first time you talk to Belas Kasihan in the tower of Tel Darys, she will ask if you want to make a "donation" to help improve your reputation with the local Telvanni. Your choice is to offer 5, 50, 500 or 5000 drakes, or to refuse a donation entirely.

• Refusal causes Kasihan's disposition to drop 30 points, unless you are a member of House Telvanni and are at least a Retainer, in which case Kasihan's disposition drops by 20 and Mistress Eldale's by 10.
• Kasihan is insulted by a 5 drake bribe, and the insult affects your relationship with several Telvanni. The disposition of Vendil Tras, Ferin Gathi, Cabrinth Dven, Marin Tabas, and Pisca Vribs all drop by 25; the disposition of Kasihan, Thelara Tallas, Methas Moril, Milar Yantus, Farel Sadrethi, Nilena Othril and Aleni Moryon all drop by 15.
• A 50 drake bribe raises Kasihan's disposition by 10, and you get a 15 point bump with Thelara Tallas, Methas Moril, Milar Yantus, Farel Sadrethi, Nilena Othril and Aleni Moryon. If you promise 50 gold but don't have it, Kasihan's disposition drops by 10 and there are 20 point drops with Vendil Tras, Ferin Gathi, Cabrinth Dven, Marin Tabas, and Pisca Vribs.
• A 500 drake bribe bumps Kasihan's disposition by 20, Mistress Eldale's by 25 and you get a 50 point bump with Tallas, Moril, Yantus, Sadrethi, Othril, Moryon, Tras, Gathi, Dven, Tabas and Vribs. If you don't have the gold, Kasihan's disposition drops 25 points, Tras, Gathi, Dven, Tabas and Vribs by 15, and Tallas, Moril, Yantus, Sadrethi, Othril and Moryon by 5.
• Lastly, a 5000 drake bribe gives you a huge boost: a 50 point jump with Mistress Eldale and 75 point boosts for everybody else. If you don't have the money, though, Kasihan's disposition drops 20 points and Eldale's by 5. Evidently they give you some credit for being brazen about it.

I offered 50 drakes, and Belas said she would try and better my standing. She didn't appear best pleased, though.
40	Finishes quest	I spoke with Belas Kasihan in Eldale's tower of Tel Darys in Gah Sadrith. She rather bluntly asked for a bribe, with the offer that she could raise my standing with House Telvanni if I 'donated' some money to her. I offered 500 drakes, and Belas happily accepted.
50	Finishes quest	I spoke with Belas Kasihan in Eldale's tower of Tel Darys in Gah Sadrith. She rather bluntly asked for a bribe, with the offer that she could raise my standing with House Telvanni if I 'donated' some money to her. I offered 5000 drakes, which was very graciously accepted. Belas was obviously taken aback by my 'generosity'.
