Shivering talk:Dumag gro-Bonk
Bug or Requirement?[edit]
For some reason i can't get this guy to speak to me. He constantly tells me "This is no time for business" at all hours of the day. Is there some other sort of requirement for him to talk to you or is it just a bug? I got a full set of armour from Cutter but he still refuses to talk to me even if i drop it. — Unsigned comment by 79.72.17.248 (talk)
- It sounds like you have the Reference Bug, in which case this is just the first symptom of a far more serious bug (and one indication that your save files have been corrupted by the bug). --NepheleTalk 18:32, 4 March 2008 (EST)

- So what should i do? (I also have that happening to me) --68.81.38.129 15:21, 6 May 2008 (EDT)
- Install the Patch that you should have installed a year ago!! --NepheleTalk 15:41, 6 May 2008 (EDT)

What is He?[edit]
On the page it says Dumag thinks he is a girl, but where does he say this? How do we know he just isn't a homosexual? (No offence to anyone but I just havn't heard him say he was a girl) --Arch-Mage Matt 20:22, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- I don't have the Shivering Isles so I don't know his exact dialogue, but if you look at his rumors they sound more like something a little girl (or a little boy for that matter, but that would be even more unlikely) would say than an adult male. Adult people will probably not mention their mom that often... Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 18:07, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- yeah, im going to have to agree with the first poster on this one, i think he's intended to be gay, grown or not, all the gay people i know sound pretty much exactly like this one. — Unsigned comment by 87.177.59.180 (talk) at 16:04 on 5 April 2010
- (I indented the above comment, just for readability - nothing else) I don't know if this is exactly a fair assessment - most of the NPCs in SI are supposed to be a bit "abnormal" - so honestly: who cares? No other article on any namespace worries about the sexual orientation or the like so why worry here? Is it really so hard to just take the dialog as it is: the typical insanity of SI residents. - FYI, you don't know a lot of gay people if all of them talk like Dumag gro-Bonk. >_> No other comment, except that female orcs are supposed to use the gra- suffix, not the gro- one, so either he fails to notice this and thinks he's female, or he's just highly effeminate. --76.89.164.24 02:38, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, Viranus Donton's article goes into detail about how he could be gay. I know if you are a male, and get Cuirass and Greaves repaired, he says "Need any help getting that on?" and says something about beautiful Dark Seducer men or something.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 03:09, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think it would be a good idea to take a break with the guesswork. At least until we get all of his dialogue on the page. --Krusty 08:15, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Judging by the Dialouge, I would say he is either Gay (no offense when I say it) or thinks he is a girl. I mean we got a Cat Girl who thinks a spoon could kill a Minotaur...then again a fork could kill a large creature in Morrowind but thats beside the point. I think he was made to show that Bliss is a Town where everyone is crazy in both paronia or identity--Brengarrett 05:25, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
I don't think he's gay, but his dialogue and speech style ("Mama always said, ...") reminds me of Forrest Gump.188.112.158.201 14:36, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Well, gay or not, he's still my favorite character ever, next to Lucien Lachance. And every girl needs a sassy gay friend, Lord Sheogorath or not! 75.26.22.33 03:42, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
Gender[edit]
Actually, it says that he was originally meant to be a female character, but that they switched his gender last minute. Maybe a flirty boy Orc seemed cooler/more entertaining than a flirty girl Orc to them. Or maybe it was a weird accident. Either way, I love him.
