Marzula-jo was a Khajiit mage with a love for animals and an interest in an ethical version of necromancy. He came to the Abode of Ignominy to conduct his experiments, where he resurrected his beloved companion, Sugarsnout. However, this had unforeseen consequences.
His notes can still be found in the temple ruins.

Quest-Related Events[edit]
While you are collecting his memory stones for Narama-ko, they will replay an important memory when you touch them. They appear to play in order of events:
- First Stone
Marzula-jo is seen kneeling next to his recently deceased pet senche-tiger.
- Marzula-jo: "Oh, Sugarsnout. My sweet boy. I don't … it's not fair."
- Marzula-jo: "You were so young. So young. I'm going to fix this, boy. I'm going to bring you back. I promise."
- Second Stone
Sugarsnout will be eating Zaorir's corpse while Marzula-jo pleads with him to stop.
- Marzula-jo: "No, Sugarsnout! Stop! You're killing him!"
- Marzula-jo: "I never intended—what did I do wrong? This isn't you, sweet boy! This isn't you!"
- Third Stone
Marzula-jo and Sugarsnout will be standing in front of a shambling undead Zaorir.
- Marzula-jo: "Now, this is a little unorthodox, but I just felt horrible about what happened."
- Marzula-jo: "Bringing you back to life is an imperfect solution, I know, but I am confident you'll get used to this … new beginning?"
- Fourth Stone
Marzula-jo will be watching as Zaorir tears into the corpse of another Khajiit.
- Marzula-jo: "Zaorir, no! Stop it this instant! Please?"
- Marzula-jo: "I can fix this. I just need to paint a restraining ward to—"
- <Zaorir gets up and approaches Marzula-jo.>
- Marzula-jo: "Stop! What are you doing, Zaorir?"
- Marzula-jo: "No, no, no! Don't do that. Don't—"
- <Zaorir swipes at Marzula-jo and the memory adruptly ends.>
