Malilen will be part of the Elden Root Chapter to arrive to Gonfalon Bay to challenge the Gonfalon Chapter. Speaking to her:

"Raenobi gives us everything we need to succeed. I see things so clearly with her guidance…and her enhancements.
You'll see soon enough."

You will face her in the city of Marbruk in Greenshade once you defeated Lentondil. She will be impatient in facing you:

"There you are! Show me your cards, Gonfalon. Come on and show me!
Don't drag this out. I've got things to do."

Let's play Tribute.

After defeating her, she will be confused about what happened:

"What? How did you do that? How many cards did you play? Wait, how many cards did I—?
Z'en's price my head hurts. Just get out of here. Leave me alone."

She will be at Elden Root to see you face off against Raenobi. Once you defeat her leader, she will be feeling the side effects of skooma:

"Do I know you? How did I get there? My mind…it's so foggy. Ugh, I think I might be sick."
