Dialogue[edit]

Speaking with Brigadine Dorsuo before starting the related quest:

"Visitors aren't allowed to just wander about in Fort Blueblood. If you have business here, go see Commander Ortin."

Though he is not directly involved in the quest, Brigadine Dorsuo will have comments on the situation when you talk to him. When you first arrive, he will be guarding the entrance to the watchtower where Councilor Abor is staying.

If you speak to him before the commander:

"I have my orders. No one is allowed into the watchtower without the express permission of Commander Ortin."

After you have received permission:

"Commander Ortin gave you permission to enter the watchtower? All right, if he says so. Go on in."
Were you on duty when the servant brought Councilor Abor's meal?
"I was. Never left my post. Opened the door for the servant myself."
Did you see where she went when she came back out?
"Hmm. Now that you mention it, I don't actually remember seeing her emerge from the watchtower. She must have, of course. The only way in or out is through that door.
Servants. I guess it's true that you never notice them unless you need them."

Inside the watchtower, you will find that Councilor Abor has been murdered, after some investigation you can leave to tell Commander Ortin what you found:

"Don't tell me what you found in the watchtower. I'm just a simple brigadine.
If you have something to report, tell it to the commander."

After you report to Ortin, he will give you permission to search for the missing servant:

"You heard the commander. The kitchen is inside the headquarters building, right over there."

You speak with the servants and find Talaise's body in the pantry, the assassin having killed her to take her place. You then can report the death to Commander Ortin, who tell you to find the other councilors:

"A murder? Here in the fort? Who would commit such an atrocity?
Go, do what the commander ordered. I have my own duties to perform."
