Walkthrough[edit]

Once you've recruited your knights, take a walk around the manor. If you pass through the gate into the courtyard, you'll be approached by a rebel spy, who's actually working for the Elder Council - one of the people they sent to infiltrate the rebel bands. He'll tell you that he joined the Anvil rebels and will give you a map to their camp.

The Anvil camp is located just northwest of Anvil, across the road from Hrota Cave. Go in, clear the place, then take the scroll lying on the table - it's a map to the Bravil camp. Don't forget to loot the leader's body - he has the key to the front door.

The Bravil camp is located across the Niben Bay from Bravil, along the river just south of Morahame. Again, clear the place out; this time, the key is located in the casket on the table, but there's no map - this time, it's a note pointing you to a spy in the Bravil Mages Guild. You'll have to take a small detour here to complete The Power of Magic before continuing.

Now that you've dealt with the spy, you should have a map pointing to the next camp: the Underground Vault. It's northwest of Skingrad, forming the third (northern) point of a small triangle with Echo Mine and Valley View Camp. As before, go in and clear the place out. This place is harder than the others - the bandits here are stronger and better-armed, so be careful. The map and key here go to another camp Cheydinhal: the Old Mine.

The first thing you'll notice when you enter the mine is the dead bandits. Continue onward, and all you'll find are bodies everywhere, until you get to the last room. Helgarth, your missing knight, is there taking a break and smoking a pipe after slaughtering everyone. Talk to him, and he'll accept your offer to join the Order; he'll head back without you, leaving you to find your own way out after the passage caves in.

This is the end of this quest; once you finally escape, you'll get a new journal entry for Path in the Darkness.

Journal Entries[edit]

Clue for Clue (ODDlagerquest01)
Stage Finishes Quest Journal Entry
10 I spoke with a spy who was tasked by the Council of Elders to spy on the camp. He handed me a map on which one of the camps is located. I should see if I can find more references there to other camps.
20 I've found another map. It shows the position of a camp near Bravil. I should quickly go there.
25 I have a key, but where does it fit? A map is nowhere to be seen here.
30 Another map. I'm curious how many camps may exist. But even now there are too many.
40 And yet another camp. It is dismaying to learn how far the rebels have spread. This must be brought to an end.
50 I've arrived at the camp at Lake Arrius; everything seems to be calm. I should be careful - there is something in the air.
60 I've arrived at the door for probably the last room. On the way here, I stumbled over a number of rebels' bodies. Maybe it would be best if I strengthen myself before I go in there.
70 In the last room of the rebel camp at Lake Arrius, I met Helgarth, the lost knight who originally joined my Order. It seems that it was he who took care of all the rebels I found here.
90 Finishes quest☑ Helgarth is ready to join me. He will return to the Imperial City and equip himself there.

Notes
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On PC It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ODDlagerquest01 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
