Harrow

Harrow, a Dark Elf Mythic Dawn agent, is the Warden of the Shrine of Dagon, which lies deep in the Lake Arrius Caverns. If you choose to join the Mythic Dawn cult in order to gain access to Dagon's Shrine, Harrow will be your sponsor, taking possession of almost your entire inventory, leaving only quest items.

He wears the Mythic Dawn robes and carries the antechamber key alongside a small sum of gold. In combat he relies upon his summoned Mythic Dawn armor and mace, as well as a targeted shock spell and summonable creatures.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

You will first hear about Harrow from the Doorkeeper:

"Welcome, brother/sister. The hour is late, but the Master still has need for willing hands. You may pass into the Shrine. Harrow will take you to the Master for your initiation into the service of Lord Dagon. Do not tarry. The time of Preparation is almost over. The time of Cleansing is near."

After you have talked to the Doorkeeper, Harrow will meet you in the northern tunnel of the Caverns and explain the situation:

"I am Harrow, Warden of the Shrine of Dagon. By following the Path of Dawn hidden in the writings of the Master, Mankar Camoran, you have earned a place among the Chosen. You have arrived at an opportune time. You may have the honor to be initiated into the Order by the Master himself. As a member of the Order of the Mythic Dawn, everything you need will be provided for you from the Master's bounty. Give me your possessions, and put on this initiate's robe."
[Give him all your possessions]
"Very good. Follow me. I will take you to the Shrine."

If you choose to keep your possessions, he will be surprised but will give you a second chance:

No, I don't think so.
"What? I must warn you, no one leaves this place who does not bind himself to the service of Lord Dagon. But I am sure you will reconsider. You have proven yourself worthy and dedicated to have come this far. I ask you one last time: give me your possessions. The Master requires it of all initiates."

If you once again deny his request, he will attack you with the words:

"Then you have come here to die."

If you've given up your items, he will lead you into the Shrine Antechamber and then into the Shrine proper. If you speak to him along the way he will cut you short:

"Come. Your initiation awaits."

Once you approach the altar he will declare:

"We have a new Brother/Sister who wishes to bind himself to the service of Lord Dagon."

After announcing you to the congregation, he will listen to Mankar Camoran's sermon while uttering:

"Praise be!"
"So sayeth Lord Dagon. Praise be."

After this he will loiter around the altar waiting for the sacrifice of Jeelius. If you approach him now he will dismiss you:

"You may not leave here until your initiation is complete. Lord Dagon thirsts for red-drink. Sate him."

Should you have completed the initiation, Harrow will enter conversation with:

"Is there something you require?"

And he will exit it with:

"Go and prepare yourself. The Master will have need of all of us soon."

If you steal the Mysterium Xarxes, he will turn hostile like all other Mythic Dawn members in the Shrine.

Notes[edit]

  • In order to be able to carry all of your equipment, Harrow has a special birthsign giving him permanent +200 Fortify Strength and +100 Feather abilities (internally identified as "Harrow's Super Carry Ability", formID 0006bd4a). Therefore he will be able to carry at least 1100 pounds of equipment.
  • For some reason, Harrow has fully voiced Imperial voice lines, which can be heard if his race is changed to Imperial using the Construction Set.
