Misspellings[edit]

This page claims to be preserving three original misspellings, none of which are actually present in the original, GOTY, or Xbox versions of this text. The following misspellings claimed to be present within source texts are as follows:

...shall fill thiry [sic] and six...

...a cloak of dirth [sic] to cherish...

...built against statis [sic] and lazy slaves...

One can verify the text themselves by grabbing a copy of MWEdit from SourceForge and using it to open Morrowind.esm, navigating to the Books section, and selecting BookSkill_Short Blade4. This will reveal the html that constitutes the book within the game.

I have checked the original release (non-GOTY) disk, the original and GOTY Xbox disks, and the gog.com release of GOTY. None of the three spelling errors are present in any iteration of the in-game Sermon 10.

What is the source for this article, if not the game itself? Since these spelling errors are not in fact present in the game, may we amend them? — Unsigned comment by Indrele-the-Less (talkcontribs) at 03:37 on 14 October 2021

Updated. The source, I think, was pre-release postings online (forums, maybe?). In any case, I also checked, and these misspellings are not present in any released version. Jeancey (talk) 19:10, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
