250 characters is not enough and I basically overhauled the entire page, so here's what's new.

I broke the huge blocky paragraphs into readable chunks, organized the info into parts where it made sense to present them, and relegated some miscellaneous tidbits to the notes.

Indrik is not a proper noun, so I've fixed the instances of capital "I" Indrik that didn't occur at the start of a sentence. Similarly, I've de-capped the mount and pet names in the body of the article. Snake morphs and dog breeds aren't proper nouns, so indrik morphological subclasses aren't either (the exception is when an animal species is named after a proper noun, like a place. see: German shepherd). The only reason mount and pet names are capitalized in-game is because of branding, coding, etc: all of ESO's collectible names are capitalized in the files. I've also reduced the wording in related sections to make it sound less like an advert for the mounts and pets in question.

The only exception to the caps-culling is the term "Earth Indrik", which is capitalized in the book it appears in.

The indrik fawn pets are not evolved with indrik feathers, so I've changed their mention to reflect this. Talomar tells us he raised Lotus as a fawn, so we already know indriks can be kept as pets. The event pets don't need to be "kept with" their corresponding mounts in this regard.

Wrote a detailed, flowery description of the indrik's physical appearance, not just because they're cool and they look nice, but to paint a clearer picture for users who are blind or otherwise have difficulties with vision. If ESO's gonna give us a pretty bird horse, I might as well do it justice in writing so everyone can have an idea of what it looks like. Don't wanna leave the visually impaired among us with such an unhelpful, nondescript summary as "it looks like a fancy deer with feathers".

Regarding the choice of words in describing vocalizations:

... whooping, wheezing, and shrilling ...

For posterity: "whooping" is the sound that some ESO players have described as "barking". "Shrilling" is a term that describes the aggressive, sort of nasally, somewhat throaty, almost-guttural sounds indriks make when you aggro them or kill them.

I'm fine with "indrik" being decapitalised, but something like "Rosethorn Indrik" is absolutely a proper noun. See e.g. Rosethorn Hall (vs "hall"), Jack Russell Terrier (vs "terrier"). Those breed names are titles and should be capitalised, even if the regular form of the noun is not. —⁠Legoless (talk) 08:27, 18 April 2023 (UTC)

I can agree with that: wasn't aware they were named after a place! I thought the Rosethorns got their namesake from their description. Born from rose petals, roses have thorns, that sort of thing. It didn't occur to me to check for another source of inspiration because it just fit. Good catch! -MolagBallet (talk) 23:39, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
