Anaxes[edit]

I have removed the note stating that this card depicts Anaxes. As far as I can see, there are a few points in support of this comparison:

  • The card shows an Oblivion-style Xivilai with Oblivion-style cages.
  • This Xivilai serves Mehrunes Dagon.
  • This Xivilai is torturing a mortal (which is presumed to be an Ascended Immortal).

However, I believe this to be totally speculative. There are several flaws with stating that this card definitely depicts Anaxes:

  • In Oblivion, Anaxes actually serves Mankar Camoran, not Dagon.
  • Camoran had at least one other Xivilai tasked with torturing the Ascended Immortals, namely Medrike.
  • There is nothing which directly confirms that this generic Xivilai is Anaxes or that the card depicts Gaiar Alata.

I could see it being worthwhile mentioning Anaxes and Medrike on the page, but unless I'm missing something it seems to me that the evidence here is too flimsy to support a statement of fact. I've therefore also removed this card from Lore:Anaxes. —Legoless (talk) 00:10, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

The audio lines are labeled anaxes enter play.ogg and anaxes attack.ogg in the files. The inconsistencies are likely just typical Legends oversights that occurred as a result of outsourced artists. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:39, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
That's definitely important information to include. I support the restoration based on the audio files and I've re-added it to the lore page. —Legoless (talk) 07:56, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
