Varashimmus

Varashimmus is a shrine to the Daedra Prince Molag Bal under inspection by the Mages Guild.

It lies upon a small island east of Idathren, in the southern Aanthirin region. A Wood Elf named Caelvor leads the Mages Guild expedition here, although his group do not seem to have penetrated into the deeper parts of the ruin, where hostile Daedra await. Notable treasures in these areas include the Alteration skill book, The Dragon Break Re-Examined, and a pair of Dreugh Boots in the West Wing.

During the quest The Crook of the Crossing, it becomes clear that the expedition was at least partly initiated by the Altmer, Tureyvendil, who can be found in nearby Idathren.
