Caomus River

The Caomus River (formerly known as Diren River)[1] is a waterway flowing from the mountains near to the Tor-Hame-Khard to the waters of the Auridon Strait. The city of Shimmerene is built on its southern bank, with its docks located on the northern bank. The mouth of the river starts at the Direnni Acropolis,[2] formerly the farming village of Tyrigel, which was once located on the banks of the river Caomus.[1]

In the Merethic Era, the Locvar Tribe sailed down the Caomus River and stumbled onto Tyrigel, seeing it as a good target for food and other bounties. Their attacks continued until they were defeated by Asliel Direnni.[1]

The river's original name was adopted by the inhabitants of the Tyrigel as their name. In the future, they rose into prominence as an influential faction known as Clan Direnni.[1]
